Muscular pain is the #1 cause of most equine behavior and performance problems. Yet, most people don't even realize it when their horse has a muscular problem, and have no idea what to do about it!
Basic knowledge of Equine Sports Massage gives the horse person insight into how their horse is feeling in it's body. This knowledge can be used to modify and fine tune any equine training program.
Equine Sports Massage resolves many muscular problems. Equine Sports Massage improves performance, increases flexibility, increases range of motion and helps resolve behavior problems.
In this course, students learn functional anatomy and how the horse is designed to move. Students learn how many training practices and types of equipment prevent the horse from moving naturally and contribute to the creation of muscular and behavioral problems. Students learn how to evaluate whether a horse's muscles are healthy or painful. Students learn how to use equine massage techniques to relieve painful muscles. Students learn a new way to communicate directly with the horse via touch and the medium of horse massage.
This course empowers students with new information and skills that enable them to achieve maximum success, performance and personal fulfillment with their horses.
The course is a first step for individuals pursuing careers in the equine industry as Equine Sports Massage Therapists or Equine Bodyworkers. This course is also well attended by people enrolled in Animal Science and Equine Vet Tech training programs. We also have had the privilege to share this information with veterinarians and top trainers of all equine disciplines.
